Bringing the seed of consolation …to

Let us share the beautiful moments of going out for meeting the young people and putting the seed of consolation in their hearts.

According to our community project, the sisters decided to go out by two groups and to meet the young people of Myanmar during the summer youth camp and the retreat of the daughters of Mary because only this time we can meet them.

The first group of places we visited: Harkar, Falam, Kalay and Pekhin are not familiar and we have never been there so it was the first time to go there. The places are located on mountains with different weather, different languages and with their own culture and custom. It was a little revolution for us; the local sisters because we are also from different ethnic and couldn´t understand their languages.

The worst is that there are no people that we knew just we knew and communicated with them through the mass media Face book.

We went there with full of fear and worry and at the same time with confidence in the hand of God. The miracle of God was there when we arrived there. Even though we didn’t know each other, the people whom we met along the way helped in our needs and support us in everything. We were surprised because of the kindness of their hearts and really, we felt that we are brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ and the multicultural encounter also gave us the wonderful and joyful experiences.

The purpose of bringing the seed of consolation was successful because the young, the elderly even the priest and the religious heard the name of consolation and about of the presence of Sisters of Consolation in Myanmar for the first time. They were happy to know us and felt consolation through our presence.

The seed of consolation has already arrived in their hearts and the task for us now is to cultivate it continually.

Now we trust in the hand of God to bless our work and to open more the hearts of people whom we met to participate in the Mission of Consolation.
