JUNIORS MEETING JANUARY 23, 2022
JUNIORS MEETING JANUARY 23 2022
In the same sentiment with the Church that is journeying toward the Synod of Synodality. On January 23 2022, the juniors in the Delegation of Asia held a meeting to share with one another about their experiences in the local church and the life of our Congregation in their respective countries. The significant questions regarding the latest Synod were given to them beforehand, so they had time to reflect, answer and give their own opinions. This meeting was a great opportunity for them to rediscover the different faces of the Church and the respond of our Congregation to the sign of the time and the needs of the local church; especially in Asia where our presence is considered as a new foundation. Due to difference circumstances not all the juniors were able to present in this meeting. However, they were grateful to the General Government and the Delegation’ s Government for giving them the space to speak out as a young generation of our Congregation.

Opening of the Ende Community
Opening of the Ende community
Today, January 20, 2022, we are celebrating the opening of our Ende community. After invoking the Holy Spirit, Mother General Antonia Munuera Alemán entrusts us with the mission of evangelizing the simple people, youth and the poor of Indonesia, rooting the charism of Consolation and enriching it with Indonesian values. We share the desires, dreams and concerns that God has sown in our hearts with the desire to be the Salt and the Light in the midst of the Indonesian people. It is a mission and a gift that has been entrusted to us and that we welcome with the confidence that God will continue to guide our steps and the Mother will continue to accompany us closely. After this meeting so full of emotions, we toast celebrating our new community.

PHILIPPINES TYPHOON RAI
PHILIPPINES TYPHOON RAI
During these days, the whole Philippines is suffering from the typhoon Odette (with the international name: RAI). The most affected areas are Visayas and Mindanao. There is no electricity and water. All the transportations to these regions are suspended, therefore it’s difficult to distribute the typhoon aids to the people. The typhoon is moving out of the Philippines’ territory, but there’re fears widespread landslides and flooding may have claimed more lives.
Our sisters in Cebu community are in stable condition. Despite of this trying situation, they’re reaching out to the people with all the means that they have by distributing water and basic needs assistance. In Metro Cebu, all the foods and water are selling overprice up to five times as before; and it’s hard to buy. The government announced that it will take more time to transport the typhoon aids and restore the electricity.
We have received the supports and funding from Delwende. They were the first to offer help to the victims through the project of our sisters. We are grateful and feel committed in reaching to the cry of our brothers and sisters.

Asia Delegation's Formation Instance
After the religious profession, the Delegation has been privileged regarding formation instances that help and enrich its members as well as the opportunity to share life with other sisters from other parts of the congregation. We began with a meeting of juniors that began already last September and is organized every two months to accompany the sisters in their processes of Juniorate handle by sr. Maribel Sanchez, General councilor, and sr. Carmen Villalon, Superior of the delegation. The intense days continued with a webinar in administration for all the sisters of the delegation on November 28 and that will continue next year due to the broad theme that covers it by our General Administrator sr. Begoña Escrihuela. On November 30 and December 14, the communication and youth ministry teams began a series of meetings regarding communication and network management with our sister Ana Belen Soriano. Finally, on December 19, the Korean communities had a formative meeting on the theme of synodality accompanied by the Superior of the Delegation, an instance of sincere sharing and above all in tune with the new guidelines of our Church.
Almost at the doors of Christmas and New Year, we want to express to God our gratitude for all these moments that, although they are virtual, do not diminish in any way our desire to respond to our call to be Consolation in these Asian lands. Thanks to our invited sisters for helping us to grow more in our commitment and the Congregation to facilitate these opportunities.

On October 31 as part of the activities of the assembly of the Delegation, the meeting with the local superiors and responsible sisters happened. In a very natural atmosphere of sharing and accompanied by the general councilor sr. Maria Josefa Carmona the government of Delegation conducted a meeting which objectives were two. To continue deepening in the reality of the Formation in the delegation, especially in its challenges looking at the present and future and in Leadership “towards an emerging world”.
The dialogue among sisters was rich and spontaneous, beginning in the morning with the topic of leadership taking as a point of reference the online course about leadership organized by the Union of Superior generals, basic concepts about leadership, emerging world, systems, frontiers, interconnections, listening, holding space… in the afternoon the dialogue was directed to reflect about the formation in the different stages, and sharing the work that the Government of the delegation did with the General government about it. Share its conclusions, see the reality of the Delegation in order to continue in the beautiful challenge of accompany and helping the young girls that continue knocking at our door.
In behalf of the Government of the delegation we give thanks to the sisters for being there and spend time and sharing life and charism during these days of assembly. We continue entrusting the life of the delegation to our God who accompanies the life in each community and especially giving us its light and grace to respond being his instruments of mercy and consolation in these challenging times.
