PHILIPPINES TYPHOON RAI
During these days, the whole Philippines is suffering from the typhoon Odette (with the international name: RAI). The most affected areas are Visayas and Mindanao. There is no electricity and water. All the transportations to these regions are suspended, therefore it’s difficult to distribute the typhoon aids to the people. The typhoon is moving out of the Philippines’ territory, but there’re fears widespread landslides and flooding may have claimed more lives.
Our sisters in Cebu community are in stable condition. Despite of this trying situation, they’re reaching out to the people with all the means that they have by distributing water and basic needs assistance. In Metro Cebu, all the foods and water are selling overprice up to five times as before; and it’s hard to buy. The government announced that it will take more time to transport the typhoon aids and restore the electricity.
We have received the supports and funding from Delwende. They were the first to offer help to the victims through the project of our sisters. We are grateful and feel committed in reaching to the cry of our brothers and sisters.
