In the Cebu community we had a celebration yesterday to commemorate the signing of last year's Eco-statement. The same people who signed last year's manifesto gathered to deepen our commitment and strengthen it before the Lord with a prayer centered on the story of creation. We offered before the altar where the invitation to continue in communion with the Church (daughters of the Church), to listen to the cry of the poor and the earth and to regenerate human relationships in the fraternity of sons and daughters of God made in his image and likeness on a poster, the four basic elements in creation, water, fire, air and earth, presided. We prayed with each of these elements listening to the Lord's call to be brothers and sisters and to take care of each other.

We were accompanied on this occasion by the parish priest of San Lorenzo Ruis who thanked us for the opportunity we offered him to participate, in his own words, in "a profound and very meaningful celebration ". After the prayer we shared a simple snack with the food that each one generously contributed in a fraternal, joyful and simple banquet. The legacy of Mother Foundress and the first sisters continues to encourage us to live our charism.
