On Sunday, September 19, we celebrated in the Manila community the 15th anniversary of the arrival of Consolation in the Philippines. The sisters arrived in Manila, capital of the archipelago on September 15, 2006 at 11:30 pm. In the midst of the pandemic that prevented us from celebrating the feast with the children and families of the Makopa project, friends and benefactors, as well as with the COM youth, the Association of Religious of the Philippines AMRSP offered to broadcast the Eucharist live from our chapel. We received this invitation as a gift and we thank the association of religious for the opportunity to make our charism known a little bit more on this special day for us.
First of all, Sister Maria Teresa Rosillo said a few words of welcome as the oldest and founding member of this community.
Priest Peter Kyi Maung, from the Diocese of Mandalay, Myanmar celebrated the Eucharist inviting us to place before the Lord all the fruits of our service to the poorest and encouraged us to continue walking on the path of righteousness with this thought in mind: "you have come to console, not to be consoled". We are grateful for the following of the Eucharist via YouTube and Facebook. We received messages from the sisters of the Delegation of course, from sisters from other parts of the Congregation and from friends and relatives who even without understanding everything because of the difficulty of the language expressed their joy and encouraged us to continue sowing consolation.
