DEVELOPING THE ETHICS OF CARE
DEVELOPING THE ETHICS OF CARE
The Philippines, which is still reeling from the last typhoon Goni (Rolly in the Philippines), has been hit by yet another one Vamco (Ulysses in the Philippines). The houses experienced flooding due to the swelling of rivers. The situation is even worse in many places, especially those that were hit by Rolly just one week before. The intense rain and strong winds were frightening enough but what brought about great destruction was the flooding caused by the swelling of the river whose source is the Sierra Madre mountains now punctured by so many quarries. While quarrying is important, it is also a major natural resource extractive sector that causes significant environmental problems. There have been floods before, but it never got to this level. Now the people are focused on cleaning their houses and what’s left of their belongings. Their clothes would take 2-3 times washing before the smell and stain of mud can be removed. Rebuilding destroyed houses is a much bigger task and would take years probably. And a lot of help. The cry of the poor and the cry of our Common Home are deeply intertwined. With the desire of living and developing the ethics of care our community reached to the cries of wounded, broken humanity ... the cries of the earth with the small gesture, made with great love, of buying, packing and distributing bags of groceries and toiletries in Rizal province. Thanks to the help of our sisters who financially supports us in this initiative we have bring the Consolation of God to 50 families. Community of Quezon City

SHARING CONSOLATION
SHARING CONSOLATION
As the pandemic crisis continues affecting especially to the poorest, our community has shared with the neediest of our environment on October 30 and November 12 basic items for daily life as food and mask. Kyeykyaw is one of the places in the peripheries of Yangon (Myanmar) with great problems of poverty which is suffering a lot the consequences of lockdown by the pandemic.                 When the charism day approached, our Community planned to share something to our neighbors and nearby areas wanting to listen to the cries of those who suffer most because of jobless situation.                 We are grateful to the generosity of our Korean benefactors who participated in the sharing providing some goods.                 The spirit of our Mother St. Maria Rosa Molas urges us to continue to share the consolation of God.Community of Yangon

SUPER TYPHOON GONI IN THE PHILIPPINES
SUPER TYPHOON GONI IN THE PHILIPPINES
Yesterday super typhoon Goni (Rolly in the Philippines) passed through the Philippines devasting several cities in the southern of the island of Luzon, arriving in Manila in the afternoon, but already quite weakened so there has been no major damage in the capital. The sisters are well and continue praying for all the people who have suffered and lost their lives because of this natural disaster. We at the Delegation are grateful for the details of affection and closeness that we receive from the sisters through messages from WhatsApp and other social networks. We ask that we continue to be united in prayer especially for our brothers who suffer in their flesh drastically the consequences of these natural disasters. May God's consolation relieve the pain of all those who have been affected by the disaster.
